Ingredients

  • 1 package of Président Camembert
  • 4 brioche-style buns
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 4 small patties
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 potatoes
  • 80g President salted butter
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • freshly ground salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Execution

  • Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into even slices.
  • We add flavor with a little grated nutmeg and freshly ground salt and pepper.
  • At the same time, in a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil with half of the Président Camembert, cut into small pieces.
  • Let it cool, then stir, adding the egg.
  • Generously grease a Pyrex dish or baking pan with butter.
  • Arrange the potato slices in even layers and pour over the milk mixture, adding a few small pieces of salted President butter.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • At the same time, slice the buns and lightly toast them on the grill or in a non-stick pan.
  • We place a generous spoonful of potato gratin on the bases of our buns, followed by the patties we have already cooked.
  • Add small strips of Président Camembert and place them under the oven broiler for one minute to lightly melt the cheese.
  • Add the tops of the buns and serve. An ideal dish to accompany aperitifs with friends!
